Troubleshooting FAQs
How do I change the time setting?
Please view page seven of the door controller instructions. You can download a free copy of the instruction manual on this webpage.
How do I change the door opening or closing settings?
Please view pages 10 and 11 of the door controller instructions for setting the door opening settings and pages 12 to 14 for the door closing settings. You can download a free copy of the instruction manual on this webpage.
What level should I set the light sensor to open and close at?
We recommend setting the opening light level to 75. The door will open around sunrise in the morning. If you’d like the door to open later, set the opening light level setting somewhere between 76 and 99 (99 is the brightest level).
The best closing light level will depend on the location of your automatic chicken door (for example, whether it’s set up in a shady spot). Please see page 13 of the door controller instructions for advice on selecting the light sensor closing level. You can download a free copy of the instruction manual on this webpage.
There is an error code (E1, E2, E3, or E4) on the screen. What should I do?
Please carefully read pages 16 to 20 of the door controller instruction manual. These pages have detailed information on how to solve each error message. You can download a free copy of the electronic instruction manual on this webpage.
The red light is flashing. What should I do?
Please see page 16 of the door controller instructions for details. You can download a free copy of the instruction manual on this webpage.
The screen is not lighting up when any button is pressed. What should I do?
Please see page 19 of the door controller instruction manual. You can download a free copy of the instruction manual on this webpage.
